Megan Bayliss and Paul Martin

Megan Bayliss and Paul Martin are married, live in Cairns Australia , and share a vision of ensuring all children's safety.

Megan is a social worker (BSW, Dip SOC, MAASW) and Paul is an accountant. They started Imaginif in 2005 as a way for Megan to market the BITSS model of Protective Behaviors.

Along with supervision of Social Work and Psychology professionals, Megan writes (see her book in the shop and check out her articles at Helium ), trains and teaches part time.

Above that, Megan is found hanging out in Imaginif's Talk Safety forum and writing blogs in her snippets of free time.

Paul is the commercial sense behind Imaginif because Megan fails to comprehend balance sheets!

Paul works as a business consultant and accountant (somebody has to pay the bills) but has a strong social justice streak. He shares Megan's passion in child protection.  Paul wouldn't know how to post a blog if his life depended on it!

Jade Pinto

Jade Pinto
Imaginif sales guru (Jade is Megan's daughter and is trustee of Imaginif Pty Ltd).

Hello and welcome from me.
Imaginif Pty Ltd is a family owned, Protective Behavior company that offers a range of protective play ideas, teachable moments and toys to anyone wanting to protect the world's children from abuse, especially sexual abuse.
Helping you to protect your own children is Imaginif's business. We have a team of bloggers, each with their own area of child protection interest and a hopping forum that we encourage you to hop into.

Although I work as a shop manager for a large Australian communications company, at Imaginif I look after all the sales, advertising and market Mum's books.

Imaginif...there was a world without child abuse. Imaginif...you helped to end it.
Imaginif...you were a leader!

Rebekah Allen
Rebekah Allen is a psychologist employed as a specialist child counselor at Hambledon House Community Centre, Edmonton ( Australia ).

Rebekah's service involves working with children, young people and families at risk of or experiencing sexual, physical, emotional abuse, violence or neglect.

Mother of three, Rebekah has an interest in preventing self-harm in children and young people. Her weekly blogs will inform you about self-harm actions, prevention, reactions and treatment. Sad that so many children harm themselves as a way to display their internal pain, Rebekah delivers this child safety topic in a way that few people will run from.

Keran Thomas

Keran Thomas

Keran blogs here weekly on issues, ideas and exercises that help children to express their emotions and create internal safety and she throws in a good dose of parent safety too (self-care and well-being – bring it on Keran).

Keran also facilitates a delightful children's program called The Group of the Red Tree and Megan will work hard to encourage Keran to share some of the program's success and enchantment .

Charmayne Paul

Charmayne Paul

I am a newly created foster mum of two (9 & 14 year olds; male and female respectively). Providing care and protection to children in need was the next step in making use of my knowledge and skills in psychology, and contributing more to my community.
I also tutor online and one-to-one, run workshops for youth and adults and somehow find the time to design research studies for local organisations and businesses.
Love my garden, bush walking with the kids, and am an aspiring writer/poet. Let me know if there is a particular topic you'd like me to feature on my blog.

...may there always be dragonflies in your dayz...

Lisa Dickson

Lisa Dickson

As a former foster child, my passion is advocating for foster children, publicizing the challenges that they face and addressing their developmental and emotional needs through workshops.  This is what I will be blogging about here.

After my mother's death and father's abandonment, I grew up in a series of temporary placements from ages twelve to sixteen. My placements included an all-girls group home, a co-ed group home and an emergency shelter. After starting college at the age of sixteen, I was legally emancipated.

Like many teens who age out of foster care, I entered the adult world without a safety net. I experimented with high-risk behavior, struggled with poverty and even experienced a period of homelessness. Eventually, I found a surrogate family in my peers at a college dorm.

I received a graduate degree from the University of Kentucky in 1998, and became a wife and stepmother on July 1st, 2000. I have finally established a family of my own, but it took hard work and many years to achieve it. My goal is to make this journey easier for others.

To find out more about me, visit me in the US of A at Sunshine Girl on a Rainy Day, here (blog) and here (website).

Keeping Kids Safe

is a unique and controversial approach to child safety. We focus on “Total Safety” that teaches and empowers children to keep themselves safe for their entire lifetime. Primarily a child safety PREVENTION program, we fill the need for teaching kids how to recognize and avoid threatening or dangerous situations.

We teach kids to keep themselves safe when Mom and Dad are not around. Whether it’s playing outside, at school, with a coach, teacher or family friend, walking the dog or at the mall, kids will be places without their parents at some time and need to know how to keep themselves safe.

Keeping Kids Safe works with children effectively because we teach from a perspective of the child with a secondary focus on their family. Our program is all about the kids while we work closely with the parents as a vehicle to reinforce our safety lessons.

The Keeping Kids Safe common sense approach to total child safety is effective, fun for the kids and easily learned and used at home with families.

(Imaginif’s Blog technician): What better way to get to know everyone than to share a little about ones self. My name is Lisa. I am 29 years young and live in Australia. I live on the west coast of this great vast of land: in Perth.

I am married to Paul and we have been together for 12 years. We have added three gorgeous, when they want to be, children to our family with our eldest Cassandra 8, Joshua is 6 1/2 and then there is Bianka our gem at 2 1/2. They are our life and the reason we keep getting up every day and continuing on.

It is a pleasure for me to be involved in such a wonderful and purpose filled site that Imaginif is. I am honored that Megan has asked me to be a part of her team and I strive to give it all I can. Child Protection and Safety is very dear to me and a close to home subject so I am only too happy to be associated with Megan and her team.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.
